I've loved the concept of ongoing narrative since I was kid. And I've written the same since I was kid, first comic book pastiches, then my own super-heroes, then other types of fantasy and SF, then interrelated 'serious' short stories (as if my work could ever be completely serious). This corner of Marilyn's web site is the latest extension of that. At the moment it only has 2 series, introduced below, but more will hopefully follow. I welcome all comments. The Unbound is the kind of fantasy story I want to tell. I plan for it to be inventive, digressive, probably rambling and hopefully filled with diverse and interesting characters, human, canine and otherwise. New chapter!

This is as close as I get to writing a soap opera. It's the stories of 2 (soon to be 3) people and 2 (soon to be 3) cats who share an urban apartment in the center of Detroit. It is also the story of their friends, lovers, siblings and co-workers, as well as their friends', lovers', siblings' and co-workers' cats. It's not about rich people cheating on each other and it never will be. It might be about cats cheating on each other, but that is yet to be seen.
